Information We Collect

BuildCalc is designed to work without requiring personal information. All calculations run entirely in your browser. We do not require account creation or login.

When you voluntarily interact with certain features, we may collect:

• Feedback submissions - star ratings and optional comments you choose to leave
• Embed requests - name, email, and website URL when you request an embed code
• Tool suggestions - calculator ideas and optional email you submit

Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser localStorage to save your preferences (theme and unit system). These are not cookies and are never sent to our servers. We do not use tracking cookies. We do not use third-party analytics at this time.

Do Not Track

BuildCalc does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals as there is no industry standard for compliance.

Third-Party Services

We may display advertisements through Google AdSense in the future. When active, Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google's Ad Settings (adssettings.google.com). Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the personal information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

Feedback, embed requests, and tool suggestion data is stored in our database and retained for operational purposes. You can request deletion of your data by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

BuildCalc is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly.

Your Rights Under California Law

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: (a) request to know what personal information we collect about you; (b) request deletion of your personal information; (c) opt out of the sale of personal information. International Users

BuildCalc is operated in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of BuildCalc after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
